1. Rolling bearing

As the name implies, it refers to the rolling motion of the bearing between the supporting load and the parts moving relative to each other, and the corresponding is the sliding bearing. Such bearing parts have sliding movement.


Rolling bearing includes parts with raceway and rolling element group with or without isolation or guide element. It can be used to bear radial, axial or combined radial and axial loads.

2. Single row bearing
Rolling bearing with a row of rolling elements is a common form in bearing family. YW Yu micro bearing company is based on micro deep groove ball bearing.

3. Double row bearing
Yuwei (YW) produces double row angular contact full loaded ball bearing, which has superior performance and can be used in automobile gearbox. For full ball bearings, see clause 5.

4. Multi row bearing
For rolling bearings with more than two rows of rolling elements and bearing loads in the same direction, it is better to indicate the number of columns and the type of bearings, for example: "four row radial cylindrical roller bearings".

5. Full complement bearing
For bearings without cages, the total clearance between the circumference of each row of rolling elements is less than the diameter of rolling elements and should be as small as possible to make the bearing have good load performance.

Angular contact bearing
Rolling bearings with nominal contact angle greater than 0 ° but less than 90 °. Yuwei (YW) produces double row angular contact full loaded ball bearing with superior performance, which can be used in automobile gearbox. For full ball bearings, see clause 5.

7. Self aligning bearing
One raceway is spherical, which can adapt to angular deviation and angular movement between two raceway axes. YW has good self-aligning spherical bearing function.

8. Inch bearing
In the original design, the external dimensions and tolerances of rolling bearings in English units correspond to metric bearings. Yuwei (YW) produces metric bearings.

9. Open bearing
There is no sealing ring in any form.

10. Sealed bearing
Bearings with seals on one or both sides. Seal is usually in two forms: seal ring or dust cover. Seal ring and dust cover are selected at the same time according to customer's needs, such as one sealing ring on one side and one dust cover on the other side. (2RS, 2RZ are used for sealing rings, RS, RZ are used for unilateral sealing rings, and ZZ, Z are used for dust covers)

11. Prelubricated bearing
The rolling bearing which has been filled with lubricant during manufacture does not need to be filled with grease. Yuwei (YW) production of closed bearings belong to this type of bearings, customers can use without lubrication of the bearings.

12. Radial bearing
It is mainly used for rolling bearings bearing radial load. Its nominal contact angle is between 0 ° and 45 ° and its basic parts are inner ring, outer ring and rolling element with or without cage. The deep groove ball bearing and angular contact ball bearing produced by YW are radial ball bearings. However, the bearings with special design can also bear mixed load and axial load. 13. Insert bearing
The radial rolling bearing with outer spherical surface and wide inner ring with locking parts is used together with various bearing seats to form an outer spherical bearing unit, which can be installed and used conveniently by customers. See clause for details.

14. Bearing units
The bearing unit with seat is a kind of bearing unit which combines rolling bearing and bearing housing together.
Most of the rolling bearings are made of the outer diameter of the outer ring of the bearing center into a spherical surface, that is to say (the outer spherical ball bearing) is installed with the bearing seat with a spherical inner hole, which has various structural forms, good versatility and interchangeability.

2、 Bearing parts and structural features:

1. Bearing ring
An annular part of a radial rolling bearing with one or more raceways.

2. Locating snap ring
The single ring with constant cross-section is installed in the annular groove. As the name implies, it is convenient to position the rolling bearing axially in the shell or on the shaft.

3. Seal
The annular cover composed of one or several parts is fixed on one ring or washer of the bearing and contacts with another ring or washer or forms a narrow labyrinth gap to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil and the invasion of foreign objects. ?

4. Dust cover
A ring-shaped cover, usually made of thin sheet metal, is fixed to one ring or washer of a bearing and extends toward another to cover the internal space of the bearing but not in contact with the other ring or washer.

5. Rolling element
A ball or roller that rolls between raceways. Steel ball bearing is made of steel (GCr15).

6. Cage
A part of a bearing that partially encloses all or some of the rolling elements and moves with them to isolate the rolling elements and usually guide and keep them in the bearing.

7. Raceway
The surface of the load-bearing part of a rolling bearing, used as the rolling track of a rolling element.

8. Raceway groove
The raceway of ball bearing is groove shaped, which is usually an arc-shaped cross-section, and its radius is slightly larger than that of the ball.

9. (groove) shoulder
The side of the raceway.

Bearing bore
Inner bore of inner ring or shaft ring of rolling bearing

11. Cylindrical bore
The generatrix of the bore of a bearing or a bearing part is basically straight and parallel to the axis line of the bearing or the axis line of the bearing part.

12. Tapered bore
The generatrix of the bore of a bearing or a bearing part is basically a straight line and intersects with the axis line of the bearing or the axis line of the bearing part.

Bearing outside surface

14. Ring (washer) chamfer

21. Outer ring
The bearing ring on the inner surface of the raceway.

22. Spherical outside surface
The outer surface of the bearing outer ring is part of the ball surface. CFL production of spherical ball bearings belong to this category.

23. Ribbon cage
A rolling bearing cage consisting of one or two wavy annular parts.

24. Cage pocket
A hole or opening in a cage to accommodate one or more rolling elements.

25. Cage bar of cage beam
A part of a cage that separates adjacent cage pockets.

26. Cage prong
A cantilever extending from a cage or half cage.

27. Cage pin
Generally, it is a cylindrical pillar, which can be used through the axial hole of the roller.

28. Land riding cage
A cage that is radially guided (centered) by the shoulder surface of a bearing ring or washer.

29. Lubricant (oil / grease)
An oily body or lipid filled between a raceway and a rolling body. A layer of oil film can be formed between the rolling element and raceway, which can make the bearing run smoothly and prolong its service life.

30. Vertical block housing
Vertical seat for rolling bearing. This accessory is used for outer spherical bearing unit.

31. Flange housing
A seat with radial flange and screw hole for installation on the bearing surface perpendicular to the bearing axis line. This accessory is used for outer spherical bearing unit.

32. Adapter sleeve
The outer surface of the sleeve with an axial opening with a cylindrical inner hole is conical and the small end is provided with external threads. It is used to install the bearing with taper hole (with lock nut and lock washer) on the shaft with cylindrical outer surface. This accessory is used for outer spherical bearing unit.

33. Locking screw
The outer surface of the nut and the outer locking plate are locked by a cylindrical screw with an outer groove. Used for axial positioning of rolling bearing. This accessory is used for outer spherical bearing unit.

34. Eccentric locking collar
One end of the ring is eccentrically grooved with respect to the inner hole, which is mounted on the extended end of the inner ring of the outer spherical bearing with equal eccentricity. Rotate the eccentric sleeve relative to the inner ring to fix the inner ring, and then fasten the jacking screw to fix it on the shaft.

35. Concentric locking collar
The steel ring installed on the wide inner ring of the outer spherical bearing is screwed into the hole on the inner ring and contacts with the shaft.

3、 Dimensions

1. Bearing series
A group of rolling bearings of a particular type, having gradually increasing dimensions, in most cases having the same and having a certain relationship between the overall dimensions. For example, CFL produces 6000 series, 6200 series, 6300 series, 6400 series, 6800 series, 6900 series, 16000 series, W200 series, w300 series, etc.; in outer spherical ball bearings, UC2 series, UC3 series, Na2 series, HC2 series, na3 series, UCP2 series, naf2 series, ukfl2 + H series, sapf2 series, sbpf2 series, etc.

2. Boundary dimension
A dimension that defines the shape of a bearing. The basic dimensions are inner diameter, outer diameter, width (or height) and chamfer dimension.

3. Bearing bore diameter (i.d.)
Inner diameter of inner ring of radial bearing or inner diameter of thrust bearing.

4. Bearing outside diameter (O.D.)
Outer diameter of outer ring of radial bearing or outer diameter of race of thrust bearing.

5. Bearing width
For single row tapered roller bearings, it refers to the axial distance between the back of outer ring and inner ring.

6. Ring (washer) chamfer dimension
The radial or axial extension of the chamfered surface of a ferrule (washer).

7. Ball diameter
The distance between two parallel planes tangent to the surface of the ball.

4、 Torque, load and life

1. Starting torque
The torque required to start rotation of a bearing ring or washer relative to another stationary ring or washer.

2. Running torque
The torque required to stop the movement of another ring or washer when one bearing ring or washer rotates.

3. Radial load
The load acting on the direction perpendicular to the axis of the bearing.

4. Axial load
Load acting parallel to the axis of the bearing.

5. Static load
The load acting on the bearing when the relative rotation speed of the bearing ring or washer is zero (centripetal or thrust bearing) or when the rolling element has no movement in the rolling direction (linear bearing).

6. Dynamic load
The load acting on the bearing when the bearing ring or washer rotates relative (centripetal or thrust bearing) or when the rolling element moves in the rolling direction (linear bearing). ?

7. Equivalent load
A general term used to calculate the theoretical load. Under the action of the theoretical load, the bearing bears the actual load.

8. Basic static radial (axial) load rating
The radial static load (central axial static load) corresponding to the total permanent deformation of rolling element and raceway. If the roller and raceway (roller bearing) are or are assumed to be normal generatrix (full line contact) under zero load, the total permanent deformation at the contact between the roller and raceway is 0.0001 times of the diameter of the rolling element under the maximum contact stress. For single row angular contact bearings, the radial rated load is the radial component of the load that causes the bearing rings to move relative to each other. ?

9. Basic dynamic radial (axial) load rating
Constant radial load (constant central axial load), under which the rolling bearing can theoretically withstand the basic rated life of 1 million revolutions. For single row angular contact bearings, the radial rated load is the component of the load that causes the bearing rings to move in pure radial direction relative to each other.

Life (of a set of bearings)
The number of revolutions of one ring or washer with respect to another ring or washer before the first fatigue growth of the material of one ring or washer or rolling element of a bearing. Life can also be expressed by the number of operating hours at a given constant speed.

11. Reliability (of bearing life)
The percentage of a group of bearings operating under the same conditions that are close to the same rolling bearing and expected to reach or exceed a specified life. The reliability of a set of bearings is the probability that the bearing reaches or exceeds the specified life.

12. Rated life
Life prediction based on radial or axial basic dynamic load rating.

13. Basic rating life
Rated life associated with 90% reliability.

14. Life factor
In order to obtain the basic rated radial dynamic load or the basic rated axial dynamic load corresponding to a given rated life, a correction factor suitable for equivalent dynamic load is proposed.

5、 Materials
?
1. Materials of inner and outer rings and steel balls:
The inner and outer rings and steel balls of the bearing are made of bearing steel (vacuum heat treatment). Most of the bearings are made of JIS steel SUJ2, which is the domestic chromium steel (GCr15).
SUJ2 chemical composition, in the world, as a bearing material has been standardized. For example, it belongs to the same kind of steel as aisl52100 (USA), din100cr6 (West Germany), bs535a99 (UK). The use of this material can effectively improve the torque performance of the bearing, reduce the noise and prolong the service life. However, in humid or high temperature environment, martensitic stainless steel should be used.
2. Retainer material: the retainer has many kinds of materials, such as cold rolled steel plate (SPCC bqb402), stainless steel plate (1Cr18), polyamide (nylon 66), brass, etc. according to different working conditions of customers, different materials can be selected.
3. Dust cover: the dust cover is usually made of the following materials: cold rolled steel strip (SPCC bqb402), stainless steel plate (1Cr18)
4. Seal ring: the seal ring, also known as skeleton retainer, is made of the following materials: Rubber (NBR, Viton) + skeleton (SPCC bqb402), PTFE (Teflon)
