What factors do customers need to consider when choosing bearings? Today, Yuwei engineers will discuss this issue.
1. Radial load of bearing

The radial load bearing is mainly radial bearing. The nominal contact angle A0 < = 450. The radial load of roller bearing with the same foot rain is larger than that of ball bearing.
N-type and nu type cylindrical roller bearings can only bear radial load. Other types of radial bearing can bear both radial load and axial load.
2. Axial load of bearing

Thrust bearing is the main bearing of axial load, and its nominal contact angle A0 > 450. Thrust bearing and thrust angular contact ball bearing can bear one or two axial forces at the same time according to different structures. When the bearing force is particularly high, the thrust cylindrical roller bearing and the thrust self-aligning roller bearing are preferred.

3. Length compensation of bearing itself

To support a shaft and bearing, a combination of fixed bearing and floating bearing is usually used. The length error and thermal expansion of the movable bearing are compensated.
Nu and n-type cylindrical roller bearings are ideal floating bearings, which can compensate the length of the bearings themselves. The inner and outer rings of the bearing can be fitted tightly.
4. Length compensation of sliding fit

Non separable bearings (such as deep groove ball bearings) can also be used as floating bearings. One of the two rings of this kind of bearing is matched without axial fixed surface. Therefore, one ring of the bearing can move on its bearing surface.

6. Compensation for non neutrality

Both the outer spherical bearing and the thrust ball bearing with race have a spherical bearing surface: the deflection angle can be adjusted when installed in the concave spherical race.

The friction of single row bearings is particularly low, so the maximum speed can be achieved. This kind of bearing has deep groove ball bearing which can only bear radial load and angular contact ball bearing which can bear combined load.
The allowable speed of the bearing can be increased by improving the dimensional accuracy, rotating accuracy and the accuracy of the matching parts, adopting the lubrication cooling method and using the special cage.

8. Conical hole

Bearings with tapered holes can be directly mounted on tapered journals (e.g. single row and double row cylindrical roller bearings in high precision construction). The given radial clearance can be adjusted when installing this kind of bearing.
Most of the self-aligning ball bearings with conical holes, drum roller bearings and self-aligning roller bearings can be installed on the cylindrical journal through a tightening sleeve. These bearings are particularly easy to install and remove.
9. Stiffness

The stiffness of a bearing usually refers to the force required to produce a certain elastic deformation of the bearing. The bearings on the machine tool spindle and pinion shaft require high stiffness. The stiffness of roller bearing is higher than that of ball bearing due to different contact conditions between rolling element and raceway.
10. Friction

In addition to being heated and dissipated heat, the internal friction also plays a decisive role in the working temperature of the bearing. Low friction bearings include deep groove ball bearing, single row angular contact ball bearing and cylindrical roller bearing with cage. The bearing with contact seal, full loaded cylindrical roller bearing and thrust roller bearing will produce larger friction force.
